Chapter 88 - I Held Her All Night Long

Jon and Beth are laying on the blanket looking up at the beautiful blue sky when they hear, "Daddy, come swimming with me."  Romeo is standing over them, dripping water on them.

Chapter 87 - I Still Got My Dreams

For Beth to hear those two words in the same sentence makes her weak at the knees.  Her natural response is to look at Jon, for an answer, a clue - for anything. 

Chapter 86 - It's Just You And I

Jon doesn't know what to do, doesn't know how to react.  In one deliberate swoop, she managed to disconnect him form his entire world. 

Chapter 85 - The Bird On The Wire

Beth and the kids were all finally asleep, after a long day of walking the streets of Milan, everyone was exhausted.  Beth dozed off with the twins as she laid with them, getting them to wind down.  

Chapter 84 - You Don't Walk In Vain

The home telephone ringing scared her, as she laid on the couch thumbing through the latest edition of Vogue magazine.  

Chapter 83 - What Else Can I Say?

The feeling of your gut and your heart racing to hit the floor is a feeling that cannot be described.  When Beth hears what Romeo says about Brian, she's certain that her stomach and heart ran out of her body, leaving her to deal with the bomb, strictly with her mind. 

Chapter 82 - But We Gotta Go Around Again

Jon sits, swings his feet off the side of the lounge chair and says, "I never thought I'd see you again."

Chapter 81 - You Live For The Fight

Beth arrives home to find no one but the caterer's and the cleaning staff.  As she runs into the house and sees that the whole family is gone, she slightly panics.

Chapter 80 - The Angels Left Here Long Ago

The Rumson Police station is quaint, fitting the little town that it's in.  All the employees, everyone in the area know who Beth is and news of the interrupted nuptials has spread fast.  

Chapter 79 - Stay Together, But Alone

"I thought you were dead." she says again, with a lump in her throat the size of Texas, "I buried you." 

Chapter 78 - We'll Make It, I Swear

When Beth can focus and see who it is, the evening sun blinding and right in her eyes, her knees buckle and down she goes.  Jon is right next to her, helping her down, knowing what is coming next.

Chapter 77 - I Tried

The wedding parties are small and made up of people that really matter to each of them. 

Chapter 76 - Signing On The Dotted Line

Guests are arriving for the early evening ceremony and are being seated with instruction from the boys.  Jesse and Jacob are ushers and are taking the job very seriously, dressed in their tuxedo's and flip flops.

Chapter 75 - To Say That You're Mine

Jon and Beth look at one another as the story ends.  Both are expressionless as they look at one another.  Finally, Beth cracks a smile and says, "I hope this is it.  I hope we can finally be left alone."  

Chapter 74 - You Learn To Live With Memories

Beth is running around quickly throwing clothes in bags for all of the kids, doubling up things for the twins. Jon is saying goodbye to Savannah after he thanks her whole heartedly for coming out last minute to help them. 

Chapter 73 - Card Up My Sleeve

Savannah and her crew arrived just shorty before dusk.  She hurried them around the back of the house and told them to set up.  When she was satisfied that they knew what they were doing, she walked around to the front door where she was greeted by the dog. 

Chapter 72 - What About Now

They sat at the table together and ate in silence.  Beth picked at her food, having no appetite what so ever, and Jon was feeling pretty much the same way. 

Chapter 71 - Stuck At A Stoplight

Jon and Beth go in the house and pamper the little ones before Beth puts them in their swings, while she starts dinner. 

Chapter 70 - She's A Mystery

Jon could have predicted this, he knew something like this was coming.  He could see that she was getting restless and needing more.  She's a hard one to keep down. 

Chapter 69 - What Was Once Holy Water

The Bongiovi helicopter lands on a makeshift helipad that serviced the park that Jon and Beth lived next to.

Chapter 68 - All Of Me

Jon wakes up, rolls over and sees Beth sound asleep next to him.  He's on top of the blankets, and she's snuggled in under the down comforter.  He's chilled, so he climbs in under the covers with her and holds her tight. 

Chapter 67 - As Close As The Holy Ghost

 

The night was cool, the windows open and the breeze very romantic.  Jon and Beth have longed to be together, alone without the possibility of interruption. 

Chapter 66 - Make Me Feel It

As they pull into the vineyard, Beth can't help but notice that the place is dark from the road.  The Evergreen's that line the long driveway hide the vineyard, but Beth can tell that it's darker than normal.  Making their way back to the hotel and the house, she says to Jon, "Does it seem dark, kind of quiet to you?"

Chapter 65 - Sometimes I Wish That I Was Blind

"I really miss the kids, but can we stay one more day?"  Beth asks Jon as she snuggles into him as they walk down the street.  "I want to go to Napa for the night, can we do that?"

Chapter 64 - I Like The Bed We're Sleeping In

"What do I need around the clock security for?  Dalton should be sent to prison in the morning." She asks, a little put off by his demand.  "Plus, security just draws attention, you know I don't like that."

Chapter 63 - Anything But Gray

The flight to California was a great one.  It was just Jon and Beth on the plane and it was obvious that they have missed one another.  And their date night just confirmed it.

Chapter 62 - In An Empty Room

 

"Come on  babe, let's go for a drive."  Jon tells Beth when he finds her in the yard playing with grape vines.  "We'll go down the shore."

Chapter 61 - We're Going To The Chapel

"Jon, Jon" screams reporters as he walks into the trendy Bar Pitt for a meeting with Paul.  "Is it true, are you and Beth finally going to get married?"

Chapter 60 - I Hope You'll Say Nothing's Changed

The family spent a week of stress free family time in St. Bart's and that is exactly what they needed.  The fun in the sun was the best medicine that any of them could have asked for. 

Chapter 59 - 99 In The Shade

It wasn't too long before the kids came back and told their dad that they were hungry.  In an effort to be more involved, Jon jumps up and says, "Okay, let's go order room service.  What sounds good?"

Chapter 58 - Swimming In The Sand

All of the bags were packed and stacked by the door, waiting for Arrow car service.  The service that Jon uses all the time and usually has no problem with.  Until today.  He looks at the family, all huddled in the foyer, waiting for the car to take them to the Monmouth Executive Airport, where the Bongiovi jet was standing by. 

Chapter 57 - It's A Dirty Plastic Pearl

With the kids on their way home to their new house, Jon and Beth are on their way to Tammy's house.  Tammy, the assistant that Beth has had forever is having an engagement party and Jon and Beth were invited. 

Chapter 56 - You And Me, We're Invincible

Half way through dinner, Jon excused himself from the table, kissing Beth on the top of the head.  "Abby is waiting for me, I need to go get dressed."

Chapter 55 - The Sky's A Different Blue

Dressed in the latest Vera Wang gown, looking drop dead gorgeous, Beth was ready to face the night and all of the people that she hasn't seen in a very long time.  

Chapter 54 - We Kinda Held On

They wasted no time getting her and the kids packed up and out of California.  It was not soon enough for Jon. 

Chapter 53 - I'd Sell My Soul

Under her body, that rested on his, she could feel him tense up and get upset.  He knows that what she just said scares the hell out of her and he knows that she believes it.  "Well, you can't stay here until they catch him."

Chapter 52 - Love Me Back To Life

 

Jon checks on the twins, reaching down and touching their hands, making sure they weren't cold and making sure that their swaddle was still tight.  With them tucked in and sleeping like babies, he takes his iphone out of his pocket and calls Tony. 

Chapter 51 - All I Needed Was You

He drops to his knees and instantly has tears in his eyes, "Babe, what happened?"  He reaches up with his free hand and tries to expose her face, she again, pulls away.

Chapter 50 - When You're Lost And You're Scared

  

 

 

He hears a couple of light clicks and sees the door knob turn.  The door opens a crack, and stops.  He waits a second and then pushes it open with his foot.  Looking in, he sees Beth walking away with a baby in her arms.  "What's going on?"

Chapter 49 - This Ain't Hide And Seek

The Bon Jovi jet landed in Salt Lake City to drop the boys off for camp.  As they were in the car with their dad, Jacob asked, "Are we here for the whole 6 weeks dad?"

Chapter 48 - Have A Little Faith



The end of the first leg was a welcome sight for everyone.  With their bags in their hands, they exit the company jet and tell each other goodbye.  

Chapter 47 - He Said Forever....And So Did She

After reading her text message, he decides not to respond.  With the voicemail that she had left about not taking the twins on the yacht, he decided it was best to talk to her in person.

Chapter 46 - Just This Side Of Dawn

 

 

Beth sat there dazed, unsure of why he hung up.  With her phone in hand, she starts down the hallway into the twins room, quickly typing to Jon, Why did you just hang up?  She presses send and goes about her business, giving little thought to if he would even reply.

I put pen to paper and write a number one song.  The words that I share are easily relatable to millions of people all over the world.  Why is it so hard for me to say the words I want to say to you?

Together they get the twins ready to put back into bed.  Both have full bellies and dry butts.  They kiss each one goodnight and Beth turns to leave.

He leans forward, resting his hands on his head, "You know that this has to be the end then.  I won't chase you and I won't wait for you."

He takes the glass off of the counter and takes a drink.  She can feel the cockiness she is about to hear, they have danced this dance and played this song.  "I'm not going anywhere, Beth."

"I've seen the way that you two have looked at one another, and I will never forget that he came onto you.  I think there is something there and that's why you won't go back east."

When they are done taking care of the twins, Jon jumps in the shower.  He hates travelling right after a show without a shower, but this trip had to be made.
