Chapter 26 - You're Exactly Where You're Supposed To Be

"She's in A-Fib.  Charging, stand clear."  One jolt.  Jon can't believe what he's seeing.  He wants to get close to her, he wants to touch her, but there isn't room and he doesn't want to get in the way.

Chapter 25 - Her Skin Under My Fingertips



Jumping out of the car before it comes to a complete stop, Jon runs in through the emergency room doors and straight to the nurses station.  "Where is she?  Where is Beth Adams?"  He slams his hand down on the counter.

Chapter 24 - Another Long And Sleepless Night

Beth is awakened by banging on the back door, the door that was on the vineyard side of the house, away from the road.

Chapter 23 - Wish Me Well, Well

 

 "Jon, Beth just called.  She wants you to know that she isn't coming."  Said Obie into Jon's ear pieces.  Jon is in the middle of That's What The Water Made Me when he hears him and he instantly gets pissed.  

Chapter 22 - A Million Miles Of Memories

 

 

"You could always go with me, you know that." his arms go around her and he holds her growing girth.  "There is always room for you and there always will be."

Chapter 21 - You Wanna Want Me

 

 

"Why do I get the feeling that you're over me?" he asks, looking over in her direction.  "I feel like you don't love me anymore."

Chapter 20 - All You Want Is The Truth

"You mean your body can't handle the best sperm on the planet?" he jokes back with her, "I'm only kidding, those are Bongiovi's."

Chapter 19 - We Gotta Go Around Again, So Let's Hold On

 

 

The two of them are at a point in this relationship that sometimes they don't even need to use words.  They are so in sync with each others body language that sometimes words aren't enough, or they truly can't explain the way that they are feeling.  

Chapter 18 - My Heart Is In Your Hands

 

 

Jon storms into the house after her, "Don't walk away from me on this one Beth, you owe me at least that much!" 

Chapter 17 - There's No Use In Trying To Save Me

The show was the longest one that he's ever given - or at least that's how it felt to him.

Chapter 16 - Hurt Me, Heal Me

Several months have passed and some much needed healing occurs, leaving both Jon and Beth a little more focused and mentally healthy.  

Chapter 15 - Hoping It Would Never End

 

 

 

She felt a sigh of relief when the plane tires hit the runway, she was home.  Putting away her ear buds and preparing to get off the plane, she grabbed her phone to see what time it was.  

Chapter 14 - There's No Place Too Far

Walking into the house that she shared with Jon a lifetime ago, she can't help but feel all of the bad memories and all of the sadness that they went through in there.

Court goes into recess until 9 a.m.

Chapter 12 - When The Stars Fall From Your Sky

 

 

 

As fast as Beth stood up she sat back down, with her hand over her mouth.  "What the hell is he doing here?"   she mumbles to Jon.  Jon can see that she's white as a sheet and that she's starting to shake.  He puts his arm around her, while watching Dalton walk in.

Chapter 11 - Hear Their Cries

She laid there with his head on her belly, running her fingers through his hair.  This was a moment that she hated, she knows it has to end, but they needed to get to court.  "We have to get ready to go.  We're going to be late as it is." she tells him, dragging her fingernails up his back. 

Chapter 10 - I Wanna Dive In Your Dreams

"What are you doing here?" she asks him in a whisper.  She woke from her sound tequila slumber, not sure where she was.  When she realized that she was in her hotel room, she also realized that she wasn't alone. 

Chapter 9 - These Days Are Fast, Nothing Lasts

Information overload was an understatement for what Beth was feeling right now.  She hadn't thought about that email in a very long time.

Chapter 7 - Mary, Mary Say Your Rosary

 

 

 

 

They land in New York and share the car into the city.  Beth made her own arrangements, deciding to stay in the city with plans to stop at the office when she was done with Melissa's hearing.  "Can you drop me at the Waldorf, please?" 

Chapter 6 - It Doesn't Make A Difference

 

 

 

"There is no better time than now.  No interruptions and no distractions." He says, reaching for her hand, lacing her fingers in his.  "Let's get it all out there."

Chapter 5 - What's A Boy To Do?

The American Wine Association event went off with out a hitch.  The awards ceremony was sold out and all 46 rooms at the Vineyard were booked.  

Chapter 4 - what was once holy water

The AWA coming to the vineyard was Beth's only concern for the next several days.  She was making lists and checking them twice, double checking that everything was done and done to her liking.

Chapter 3 - We Gotta Hold On

 

It was finally the day, Beth moved into the house of the vineyard. The movers delivered what she had and set up what they could.
